Meet The Team
Steve has directed and managed numerous acquisitions and financings for Blue 9 and affiliated investment groups. Steve has served on various boards, including but not limited to Ebonite International, Discovery TSX, Hirtle Callaghan, Running Subway Productions, Five Below, Performance Bicycle, and Icon Health and Fitness. He has also served as Board President of Insight Meditation Society and on the school committee of Friends Seminary.
Steve graduated from Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University’s Law School. He lives in NYC with his wife and 2 daughters.
Steve is a founding partner of Blue 9 Capital, having incorporated the firm with his father in 1984.
With over 20 years of private equity experience, Allen works closely and actively with portfolio companies and advises senior management on strategic, organizational and financial issues. Previously, Allen was VP of M&A at Prudential Financial. He was also a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and worked in financial managemenPepsiCo and CBS.
Allen holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Middlebury College. He lives in NYC with his wife and 2 sons.
Allen has been with Blue 9 Capital since the beginning, leading the investment program across late and early stages.
A NY resident, Divya has been investing in venture capital for close to a decade, deploying capital directly into companies and also funds, investing with a "sustainability for profit" thesis. Divya also serves as Mentor in Residence for Barclays Fintech Rise lab and Newchip accelerator, where she advises companies on growth and go to market strategies. Formerly she worked at Flat World Partners, an ESG-focused financial advisor serving family offices, foundations and endowments.
Divya holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Masters in Film Studies from the Mass Communication Research Center, New Delhi, and a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College in New Delhi.
Divya works closely with the partners at the firm in sourcing, evaluating and investing in new opportunities.
Jane has over 5 years of combined experience in investment banking and venture capital. Previously, Jane was at PJT Partners in the M&A group, focused on the consumer and FinTech sectors. She serves on the Youth Board of WPA, an organization that empowers women to redefine their lives in the face of injustice and incarceration.
Jane received a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Harvard.
Jane sources and evaluates opportunities with a focus on consumer, fintech and healthcare.
